Just recently got to use these finally, worked surprisingly well, I ended up adding 5 new outlet boxes to my garage and in tandem use with an adjustable electrical box, this makes cutting out the opening for said boxes a breeze, I did mess up on one of my boxes and cut it out a little caddywompus however I think that was user error in that I didnt feel around to make sure the locator was perfectly over the piece inside the electrical box. This just saved me so much time from having to pull down the plywood and make a ton of measurements, I get that this isnt a hard process if you do this day in day out, but I am just a professional homeowner, anything to make my job easier and more accurate is something im going to leap at and im glad I ended up getting this set as it did just that. 5/5

This product worked great. First thing to note. When putting up drywall. Attach the top. Then locate and cut holes. Then screw down rest of drywall. Reason is that outlet boxes extend out to be flush with drywall finish. I would hate to think how much more difficult this job would have been without this. I had 18 boxes to cut out.

I gave this 5 stars because it performed exactly as advertised. You must read the directions! Obviously these are for new construction without the receptacle or switch. The wire needs to be neatly tucked back into the box, a good electrician does this anyway. I used adjustable blue boxes which made the installation easier because the sheet rock lays flat on top of the gang box after the cut is made the box can be made to match the thickness of the drywall.

I have done at least 200 holes with these & they have not failed on me yet. Saves tons of time. I have my electrical sub install blue adjustable boxes & these work great with them. Just a quick note. They do need to be jiggled around a bit to find exact center of magnets, but you will get the feel for it. Works good for 1/2 & 5/8 Rock as well as 1/4 paneling. If these broke tomorrow I would buy another instantly.

Okay, prior to purchasing this kit I read the 1 star review posted by "lil bubba" and his comment trade off with "casual gamer". I am a casual DIYer, not a contractor. I am not associated in any way with the manufacturer or distributor of this tool. I'm just a small business owner that likes to do small projects on weekends. With that out of the way, let's get to it. Anyone who cannot figure out how to use this product should stay away dry wall projects or anything that doesn't require skill, thought, talent, or common sense. This means you "lil bubba". No sharp objects for you okay? I can't believe you actually run a dry wall crew and you and the knuckleheads that work for you are too dense (or lazy) to learn how to use this great tool. Shall we call you "Corkey"? I have never had an easier time cutting ACCURATE holes for my outlet boxes. Like most people, I always take the extra time to measure twice to ensure accuracy. Since I'm NOT a professionally trained contractor and have never worked in the construction industry, I do NOT know the little tricks or shortcuts for this type of work. Even measuring something twice there can be an element of being off just a bit. Not with the Blind Mark however. Accurate cuts every time. To say the tool saved me time would be an understatement. The only very small gripe I can remotely think of is that I wish the Blind Mark "marking" box had a small leveling bubble just for a little fine tuning. No big deal however, just a thought. I actually bought the Blind Mark for my recent salon expansion and installed over 20 single and dual outlet boxes. There was not one screw up. Not one. There was no measuring, over-thinking, or second guessing where I needed to make my cuts. Every single box was 100% accurate. I didn't even have a dremel, just an inexpensive dry wall saw. Easy, just very easy. This is the first review I have ever written about an item I purchased on Amazon. I simply felt the need to address a bogus review left by someone who is obviously "challenged" in some way.
